Tamara Groves’ love for film began when she participated in one of National Geographic’s early Critter Cam projects in South Africa. She started out as a production assistant and over the years climbed up the ranks of positions like research assistant, production assistant and eventually field producer.
After various short-term projects with US-based production companies, Tamara moved to New York so that she could pursue television and film production on a full-time basis. She has spent the last three years filming with leading directors as well as photography directors.
In the last 10 years, Tamara has worked in an array of genres ranging from travel, food, antiques and natural history. This has further contributed to Tamara’s rich and diverse experience in television production. Today, Tamara is a television producer with a specialization in culture and travel documentary. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.
